The Wellington school of floristry is new to Wellington in 2017.  It is a private school run by professional florists for people interested in becoming florists, event managers or designers, or for those who simply have an interest in floral work and techniques.

The school is dedicated to all things floral. The intention is to teach students in a practical way using tried and true methods and practices.  The aim is to encourage students to arrange flowers skilfully and to promote creativity using flowers as their medium.
 
Training given to students from The Wellington School of Floristry will assist students in their endeavour to work towards NZPF floristry level 3 examinations independently, from the school, should they wish to.

The tutors are trained professionals and are great teachers and role models.  The methods used to train students run across the floristry spectrum are current and relevant to floristry today.

Students are encouraged to produce a portfolio of work as part of the Floristry workshops and will be able to take away projects they have completed once they are marked and assessed at the end of each workshop block.
